Spicy Chaga Chai Tea Bags
Spicy Chaga Chai is our organic wild harvested chaga combined with our own creation of an authentic organic chai recipe which we hope you are going to love. Our recipe includes organic ginger root, organic ceylon cinnamon (we think it is better in taste and better for you than casia cinnamon), organic allspice, organic clove, organic cardamon and a hint of organic white pepper. You should play around with this tea, we think it is an excellent tea to add nut milk/cream and a sweetener to. I like to add a fresh cashew cream that I make with organic vanilla and a few stevia plant leaves that I grow! Talk about a yummy treat! Great as a hot tea or over ice.

Organic Wild Harvested Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a nutrient dense, antioxidant rich forest herb that we harvest sustainably (meaning: when we are out of chaga, we are temporarily out until we harvest again) and ethically (meaning: we will never harm or destroy a tree to harvest chaga) and we only harvest from healthy, living birch trees here in Maine on land that we have been given permission to harvest from and am able to verify as organically certified land approved by MOFGA). We only harvest when the sap is not flowing in the trees. It is important to us that we dry the chaga as soon as it is harvested. We hand grind the organic wild harvested chaga for our tea bags when we need it, providing you with the freshest product possible.
Steeping Instructions
When I drink tea, I want to keep that same tea bag in my cup and just add hot water to it all day long. In Maine, we call that being frugal. My mother taught me well, so our tea bags are designed to be used more than once. They are designed to be steeped multiple times or until there is no more flavor or color, steep at least 3-5 times OR steep 1 tea bag in 1 quart boiling water, let cool, refrigerate overnight with bag, remove bag in the morning and enjoy it cold!
Packaging
When you order our Single tea bag, 2 tea bag pack or 6, 12 OR 25 tea bag bulk bags, we use a biodegradable cellophane to individually wrap each tea bag so that it stays fresh until you are ready to enjoy it. Cellophane is a natural wood product that is biodegradable and compostible. Please keep that it mind when you use the tea bags. We thank you for caring with us!
Review
I picked up a tea sampler & a chaga chai tea pack at the Bangor Farmer's Market this weekend. Enjoying the chaga chai at my desk right now- the flavor is amazing! Also, you have a stunning website. Hope to see you again at the market to get more tea! Christina Berube, 5/10/17
