Blueberry Pie-in-a-Cup is our organic whole plant wild Maine blueberry tea combined with our organic wild harvested chaga and organic ceylon cinnamon (which we think tastes better than casia cinnamon). This tea is like a summer picnic under an old oak tree on a warm summer day with an ocean breeze blowing in the trees while eating a slice of fresh organic wild Maine blueberry pie. This is a very nice after dinner tea or anytime you are craving a slice of blueberry pie!
Our blueberry tea has a lot going for it. It is made with our organic wild Maine blueberries that are harvested in the peak of summer for their sweetness. Then we puree and dehydrate them to preserve that sweet summer taste. In the fall, we hand harvest our organic wild Maine blueberry leaves when they turn a crimson red color, which means that they are at the peak of their antioxidants. We combine the fruit and the leaves together to make the first-ever Organic Whole Plant Wild Maine Blueberry Tea. It is the real taste of wild Maine in every blueberry.
Organic Wild Harvested Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a nutrient dense, antioxidant rich forest herb that we harvest sustainably (meaning: when we are out of chaga, we are temporarily out until we harvest again) and ethically (meaning: we will never harm or destroy a tree to harvest chaga) and we only harvest from healthy, living birch trees here in Maine on land that we have been given permission to harvest from and am able to verify as organically certified land approved by MOFGA). We only harvest when the sap is not flowing in the trees. It is important to us that we dry the chaga as soon as it is harvested. We hand grind the organic wild harvested chaga for our tea bags when we need it, providing you with the freshest product possible.
Steeping Instructions
When I drink tea, I want to keep that same tea bag in my cup and just add hot water to it all day long. In Maine, we call that being frugal. My mother taught me well, so our tea bags are designed to be used more than once. They are designed to be steeped multiple times or until there is no more flavor or color, steep at least 3-5 times OR steep 1 tea bag in 1 quart boiling water, let cool, refrigerate overnight with bag, remove bag in the morning and enjoy it cold!
Packaging
When you order our Single tea bag, 2 tea bag pack or 6, 12 OR 25 tea bag bulk bags, we use a biodegradable cellophane to individually wrap each tea bag so that it stays fresh until you are ready to enjoy it. Cellophane is a natural wood product that is biodegradable and compostible. Please keep that it mind when you use the tea bags. We thank you for caring with us! Our tea bags are handfilled here at the farm in paper, drawstring bags.
